Your Appointment
What to expect on the day.
We will begin with a thorough consultation covering your symptoms, hearing history, any difficulties you are experiencing day to day, and related factors such as tinnitus, noise sensitivity and family history. We will then gently examine your ear canal using a specialist video camera, with the image displayed for you to see, allowing us to identify any obstructions such as wax or any issues with the ear canal or eardrum.

FAQ
Our hearing test is £35. Given the depth of assessment included — medical history, in-ear examination, full audiometry, middle ear testing, and speech testing — we think it represents excellent value. It’s also a small investment that could make a significant difference to your quality of life if a hearing issue is identified early.
Absolutely, and we actually encourage it. Bringing a partner, family member, or close friend can be really helpful — they often notice hearing difficulties that you might not be fully aware of yourself, and they can support you in understanding any recommendations we make.
You should allow around 60 to 90 minutes for your appointment. Because our tests are thorough and diagnostic, they take longer than a quick high street screening — but that extra time means we get a full and accurate picture of your hearing.
Your appointment begins with a chat about your medical history and any concerns you have about your hearing. We’ll then look inside your ears, carry out the hearing test itself in a sound-treated environment, and perform additional checks such as a middle ear function test if required. The whole process is relaxed and straightforward — there’s nothing to worry about.
