Fast, Professional Repairs Across All Four of Our South Wales Clinics

A faulty hearing aid can have a significant impact on your day to day life. Whether your device has stopped working completely, the sound quality has deteriorated or something has been damaged, our team can help get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

We see these issues every week, and most can be sorted quickly:

  • No sound or low output – if your hearing aid has gone quiet or sounds weaker than usual, it’s often a simple fix like a blocked wax guard or a battery issue. However, if you’ve already changed the wax guard/battery and the problem still exists, we can send it away to the respective manufacturer for a repair.

  • Domes and tubing replacement – the soft tip (dome) and tubing wear out over time and should be replaced regularly to keep your hearing aid working comfortably and effectively. These can be replaced on the day in clinic.

  • Whistling or feedback – often caused by a poor-fitting dome or earwax build-up, and usually easy to fix.

  • Receiver problems – the receiver is the small wire that sends sound into your ear; if it’s damaged or worn out, we can usually replace it there and then if it’s under warranty with us, or for a fee if it’s out of warranty or been purchased elsewhere.

  • Wax guard blockages – one of the most common causes of a hearing aid suddenly going quiet; we stock and sell replacement wax guards for all major brands.

  • Battery issues – including rechargeable battery replacement if your hearing aid isn’t holding charge like it used to.

Warranty and Repair Costs

Many hearing aids come with a manufacturer’s warranty that covers certain repairs free of charge. If your hearing aid is out of warranty, repairs may carry a cost. We’ll always explain your options clearly before going ahead with anything.
