Martyn (our head audiologist) has been working in this area for over 30 years. He initially worked with national hearing care chains and the NHS, before Martyn opened his first independent hearing centre in Carmarthen in 1999, and the business has continued to grow ever since.

Having a proactive passion for audiology, Martyn is the past Chairman for AIHHP (Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals), a fellow of BSHAA (The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists).

Alongside Martyn is his son Mike, who also works as an audiologist and has been dispensing hearing aids with the business since January 2018.

Pippa (Martyn’s wife & Mike’s mum) does all the work behind the scenes to ensure Hearing Aid Solutions is running smoothly.

Founder / Director / Audiologist

Martyn founded Hearing Aid Solutions in 1999, having previously served in the Royal Air Force for nine years. He qualified as a registered hearing aid dispenser in 1993 and for over 30 years has worked across national hearing care chains, the NHS, and independent practice. Over his career he has received four high commendations in the European Audiologist of the Year Awards, is a Fellow of BSHAA, and is a past Chairman of AIHHP.

Director / Audiologist

Mike, son of founder Martyn, holds a BA Honours in Business Studies from Plymouth University and qualified as an audiologist at Aston University in 2018 with a distinction. He has been dispensing hearing aids ever since and plays an active role in both the clinical and operational side of the business.

Co-Founder & Business Manager

Pippa co-founded Hearing Aid Solutions alongside her husband Martyn in 1999 and has been the backbone of the business ever since. Handling everything from finance and HR to administration and operations, she keeps the whole business running smoothly. The business quite simply would not be what it is today without her.

Audiologist & Tinnitus Specialist

Sarah has been with HAS for nearly 20 years. Sarah brings extensive Audiological knowledge to her role at Hearing Aid Solutions which also includes many years previously in NHS clinical audiology. Sarah leads our dedicated Tinnitus Management Centre, giving every patient the individual time and attention they need to ensure tinnitus is not taking over their life.

Associate Audiologist

Amy joined Hearing Aid Solutions in November 2025 after eight years as an Associate Audiologist in the NHS, gaining experience across hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, ear wax removal, impression taking and rehabilitation counselling. She is hoping to gain her HCPC registration in 2027.

Audiologist

Holly graduated from De Montfort University in 2019 with a Foundation Degree in Hearing Aid Audiology and has been building her experience ever since. A Welsh speaker based at the Llanelli clinic, she has a particular interest in the relationship between lifestyle and hearing health, a passion that recently led her to complete an MSc in Nutrition.

Audiologist

Leah graduated from Swansea University in 2019 with a BSc in Healthcare Science (Audiology) and spent six years as a Senior Audiologist with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Now based at the Cardiff clinic, she brings wide-ranging NHS experience across adult rehabilitation, paediatric audiology, bone conduction hearing aids, and ear wax removal.

Assistant Audiologist

Tasha joined us as a receptionist before qualifying as an Assistant Audiologist through The Hearing Lab and Starkey Laboratories. She is trained in tympanometry, otoscopy and ear wax removal via microsuction, irrigation and manual instrument removal. Welsh speaking, Tasha is based primarily across our Carmarthen and Llanelli clinics.

Wax Removal Clinician

Steve joined Hearing Aid Solutions in August 2026, bringing with him a strong background in healthcare and customer service. That experience translates perfectly into the care and precision required in his role as our wax removal clinician. A fluent Welsh speaker, Steve is already looking to further his development by training as a hearing care assistant in the near future. Watch this space!

Receptionist

Alex has been with Hearing Aid Solutions for around nine years and, alongside Alison, keeps the entire company running smoothly from head office. Originally from Kent, she brings a strong PA background from a large supermarket chain, and that organisational expertise is put to great use every single day.

Linda has been at the heart of the Cardiff clinic since it opened in 2015, making her one of the longest-serving members of the team. With a background in admin and a warm, familiar presence, she keeps the busy Cardiff clinic running smoothly day in, day out.

Gill has been the welcoming face of the Llanelli clinic since it opened in 2020, becoming an integral part of the team in that time. With a solid background in admin and a natural warmth that puts every patient at ease, she keeps the clinic running like clockwork day to day.

Kate has been part of the Haverfordwest clinic since it opened in 2022, bringing valuable experience from her time at the ambulance trust at Withybush. Her caring, can-do attitude shines through every day, and she is always looking for new ways to improve the experience for patients.

Lead Receptionist & Office Manager

Alison is quite simply the backbone of Hearing Aid Solutions. Having been with the business for 18 years, there is very little Alison doesn’t know about the way we work – she is the oracle of knowledge when it comes to all things Hearing Aid Solutions, and the first port of call for patients and staff alike. As Lead Receptionist and Office Manager, Alison is the mastermind behind the diary, keeping clinicians and clinics perfectly in sync across the business. You may also recognise the family connection – her daughter Natasha has followed her into the fold and now works as one of our Assistant Audiologists. An important cog in a very important machine, we genuinely couldn’t do it without her.
